For the Interpretation of the textual legacy of the 17th-19th Centuries European Religious Missions. Georgia from the Perspective of Early Global History and Modernity. Georgian Cultural and Material Heritage Research

This project envisages the study of legal and administrative, religious, historical and literary documents of European religious institutions active in Georgia in the 17th-19th centuries (mainly, catholic orders), as well as private correspondence and travel accounts in order to reconstruct the historical memory of this multidimensional process. The material to study will include Georgian, Italian, French, Latin and Russian sources kept in the archives of Rome and Ravena.
