‘On More-Than-Human Dimension of Research Collaborations and Nyamnin’
Olga Ulturgasheva
Associate Professor of Anthropology, Department of Social Anthropology, Manchester University
Environmental crises in Arctic regions emphasize the need for synergizing Indigenous and scientific knowledge to safeguard human and more-than-human lives. This presentation examines collaborative expertise and strategies to address climate-induced threats, guided by the Indigenous principle of nyamnin. It advocates symmetrical, reciprocal partnerships that recognize plural entanglements and embrace more-than-human worlds.
